Registrations are now open.

The conference will be held over three days from 24 to 26 May 2019.

Friday 24 May will be a free Public Family and Local History Fair with access to an Exhibitor Trade Hall. We are expecting an interesting and varied range of exhibitors with lots to look at and discover. The Exhibitor Hall will be open from 9am to 5pm Friday and Saturday and 9am to 12 noon on Sunday and is open to delegates and the public.

Also on Friday there will be five Free Talks and three Paid Sessions which are open to delegates and the public. Bookings are essential for the Paid Sessions.

The Conference begins on Saturday 25 May and the program includes an official welcome and a Welcome to Country ceremony. During the day there will be two keynote speakers and 6 sessions with 12 speakers.

On Sunday 26 May, there will be two sessions with four speakers with a Keynote Speaker to end the conference.

The conference will end about midday on Sunday and will be followed by the History Queensland Annual General Meeting. Links to description pages

‘Full Registration’ gives you access to all the sessions on Saturday and Sunday of the Conference. It also includes the Friday Night Welcome Function, morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea on Saturday, plus morning tea on Sunday. A conference bag will be given to all full registrants, subject to availability

You can register separately for the Saturday or Sunday sessions.

‘Early Bird Registration’ relates to full registrations paid by 31 March 2019. Those who register early will go into the draw to win a one year World Subscription from Ancestry.

‘Late Registration’ relates to registrations paid between 31 Mar & 12 April 2019. Registrations after 12 April may be accepted depending on availability. Please enquire. Please note however, that late entrants may not receive conference bags.

Friday Welcome Function

The Welcome Function will be held on Fri 24 May in the courtyard at VENUE 114 from 6pm to 8 pm.

At this function we will be serving local wines and showcasing Sunshine Coast produce in the canapés.

This event is free to those with “Full Delegates Registration”. Others, with Saturday or Sunday registration only, exhibitors, partners and friends, there is a $20.00 per person charge.

There will also be a book launch hosted by Boolarong Press.

Those who have been at the Paid Sessions or Exhibition in the afternoon will have about 45 mins before the Welcome Function begins … time to return to your accommodation to freshen up or to take a short stroll down to the lake behind VENUE 114 to enjoy the sunset or watch the end-of-day activities on the lake.

Saturday Conference Dinner

FULLY BOOKED

A two-course Conference Dinner will be held on Saturday 25 May in the Wildflower Restaurant at the Best Western Plus Lake Kawana Hotel.

Before the dinner, guests will be able to enjoy a drink on the lakeside deck before moving into the restaurant at 7pm.

There is limited seating at the venue and preference will be given to delegates. Book early as numbers will be capped once we reach the limit.

Delegates – $40 per person.

Seating for the Conference Dinner is limited. The option for attendance by partners / exhibitors will open closer to the conference, if space is available.
